Divisional Formations 2012/13

As the new season gets nearer, players and coaches the length and breadth of the country are slogging it out in pre-season training.  Often you wonder what it's all about.  Well we can now give you the first taster of the 2012/13 Season.

Below is the make-up and fixture guidelines for each Division of the FAI Under-19 League for next season.

Elite Division

Teams: Bohemians, Bray Wanderers, Cobh Ramblers, Cork City, Drogheda United, Finn Harps, Salthill Devon, Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne, St. Patrick's Athletic, UCD and Waterford United.

The Elite Division consists of the above twelve teams.  Each team will play every other team twice, on a home and away basis, to give a total of 22 League fixtures.

Fixtures commence on week-ending Sunday 19th August 2012.

Each team will be entered into the Enda McGuill Memorial Cup.

 

Northern Division

Teams: Derry City, Dundalk, Fanad United, Letterkenny Rovers and Sligo Rovers.

The Northern Division consists of the above five teams.  Each team will play three series of games against every other team, to give a total of 12 League fixtures.

Fixtures commence on week-ending Sunday 2nd September 2012.

Each team will be entered into the Enda McGuill Memorial Cup.

 

Southern Division

Teams: Athlone Town, Galway United Supporters Trust FC, Limerick FC, Longford Town, Mervue United and Wexford Youths.

The Southern Division consists of the above six teams.  Each team will play three series of games against every other team, to give a total of 15 League fixtures.

Fixtures commence on week-ending Sunday 2nd September 2012.

Each team will be entered into the Enda McGuill Memorial Cup.

 

Enda McGuill Memorial Cup

All 23 competing clubs across the three Divisions will be entered into an open National draw for the Enda McGuill Memorial Cup.  Full details of the draw will be provided in due course.
